Modern Daydream — Refunds & Returns Policy
Made to order. Every piece is created specifically for you. Because of the custom nature of our work, we don’t accept returns or offer refunds once an order has begun—except for damage/defects or a confirmed “missed brief” (see below).
Change or cancel window (60 minutes)
You can change or cancel within 60 minutes of purchase by emailing support@moderndaydream.com. After 60 minutes, cancellations/changes are at our discretion because artists often begin right away. This 60-minute window also applies to apparel, hats, second-piece offers, and digital downloads.
If something arrives damaged or incorrect
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or with a production defect, we’ll replace it.
• Report within 48 hours of the carrier’s delivery scan (local time at the ship-to address).
• Include time-stamped photos of (1) the item, (2) the outer packaging, and (3) the shipping label (helps us move quickly).
• Replacements/reships are sent after claim approval.
Partial shipments
Some orders ship in multiple boxes. The 48-hour claim window applies per box, based on each box’s delivery scan.
Address issues & returns to sender
If an order is delayed or returned due to an incorrect/incomplete address, refusal, or unclaimed status, we’ll reship the original item once it returns to us in good/undamaged condition; reshipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Original shipping charges and any duties/taxes are non-refundable.
If the parcel does not return to us or returns damaged/unusable, a replacement requires a new order (or a replacement fee if offered).
International orders
International shipments may incur duties and taxes (paid by the recipient). If a parcel is abandoned after a customs contact attempt, we can’t refund it. Re-shipments require new shipping fees.
Normal craftsmanship tolerances (not defects)
Human-made art and made-to-order goods include natural variation. The following are not considered defects:
• Minor color variation between screens and finished prints
• Paper/wood grain; brush/line character
• Trim/sizing tolerances within standard production norms
• Apparel fabric/fit variances within normal tolerances
Apparel sizing (made to order)
Apparel and hats are produced per order; size exchanges or returns for preference/fit aren’t available. Please check the size guide before purchasing.
“Missed brief” remakes (artworks)
A missed brief means we materially deviated from the style you selected or the clear subject & composition called for by your photo and note. Personal taste alone isn’t grounds for a remake.
If we truly miss the brief, we’ll remake and replace the piece.
Remakes are produced with the same photo and style unless otherwise agreed and follow standard timelines; Priority Studio isn’t guaranteed on remakes.
Digital downloads
Add-on only. We don’t sell digital files alone.
Non-refundable after 60 minutes from purchase and non-refundable once delivered. Per our ToS, download links unlock 72 hours after the carrier’s delivery scan and after the 48-hour damage window closes. If an order is canceled/refunded, the link is disabled and the license revoked. Retaining/sharing a refunded file is unlicensed.
Delays & force majeure
Carrier or supply-chain delays and events outside our control (weather, customs, strikes, etc.) aren’t grounds for refunds. We’ll assist with tracing and keep you updated.
Claim review time
We typically review complete claims (with photos) within 5 business days and will confirm next steps promptly.
How to start a claim
Email support@moderndaydream.com with your order number, a brief description, and the required photos (item, outer packaging, shipping label). If your order shipped in multiple boxes, note which box is affected.
